Last month, every 6th new vehicle in state was EV: Bengaluru drives Karnataka’s electric shift

Bengaluru marked a notable achievement in August 2026 by registering 13,389 new electric vehicles, capturing over 50% of the total electric vehicle registrations in Karnataka. The city now boasts more than 4.9 lakh electric vehicles, representing around 3.8% of its entire vehicle fleet. With electric two-wheelers leading the charge at 71% of total registrations, Karnataka has witnessed a substanti
