Heavy rainfall today in 11 districts including Rewa and Shahdol: Rain is also expected in the Bhopal division; schools are closed in Satna and Maihar.

A strong system has become active again in the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh. The gates of Bansagar Dam in Shahdol were opened on Sunday. Heavy rainfall was recorded in Singrauli, while Mandla and Chitrakoot (Satna) faced devastation after flooding. Although the rivers have subsided, a scene of destruction was witnessed. Several districts experienced rain until late at night. Schools in flood-affected Satna are closed from August 31 to September 1.
