Heavy rainfall today in 11 districts including Rewa and Shahdol: Strong system again in the eastern part of MP; Bhopal division will also receive rain.

A strong system has become active again in the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh. The gates of Bansagar Dam in Shahdol were opened on Sunday. Heavy rainfall was recorded in Singrauli, while Mandla and Chitrakoot (Satna) faced devastation after floods. While the rivers have definitely subsided, a scene of destruction was witnessed. Several districts experienced rain until late at night. Schools in flood-affected Satna are closed from August 31st to September 1st.
