In Bhopal, 11 out of 12 elders took an oath to raise public issues in council meetings but will not receive a budget.

In the Bhopal Municipal Corporation, 11 out of 12 appointed aldermen (nominated councilors) were sworn in on Thursday. ADM Prakash Nayak administered the oath to them at the Collectorate, in the presence of Mayor Malti Rai, Corporation President Kishan Suryavanshi, and BJP District President Ravindra Yati. These included Mahesh Tiwari, Sunil Dwivedi, Pradeep Lodhi, Leeladhar Yadav, Pramod Polghantarwar, Rajesh Sahu, Ravi Goyal, Deepak Saxena, Vinod Chaurasia, DK Saxena, and Vijay Singh.
