A power company JE was arrested for taking a bribe of 15,000 rupees. He had demanded 20,000 rupees to settle an electricity theft case and install a new meter.

In Bhopal, a Lokayukta team arrested the electricity company's JE (Junior Engineer) on Wednesday while taking a bribe of ₹20,000. The accused was demanding a bribe in exchange for installing new electricity meters and settling old electricity theft cases. The action was taken under the leadership of DSP Virendra Singh. The accused has been identified as JE Arpit Upadhyay. According to information, the applicant, Tariq Siddiqui, had applied for installation of a new electricity meter.
