The CM and his sister's house are in the path of road widening: Ujjain will increase roads by 15 meters for Simhastha; relatives say they are ready to demolish their houses.

For the Simhastha of 2028, the main roads of Ujjain are being widened. As part of this, the 730-meter long road from Khajur Wali Masjid to Ganesh Chowk via Abdalpura and Jeevaji Ganj police station will be widened by 15 meters. This includes 272 buildings, including the ancestral house of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and his elder sister, Kalavati Yadav, who is also the chairperson of the Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation team has surveyed these houses and marked them for demolition.
