In the West Central Railway, 18.20 lakh passengers made cashless payments; digital payment increased, with a transaction of ₹14.62 crore from ticket bookings in August.

The use of digital payments among passengers is increasing in the Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Kota divisions of West Central Railway. In August of the financial year 2026-27, 18,19,923 passengers made cashless payments through PRS (Passenger Reservation System) and UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System), booking tickets worth ₹14,61,99,773. According to the railway, payment can be made at PRS (Passenger Reservation System) and UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) counters using UPI/BHIM, mobile ticketing, and POS machines.
