Heavy rain today in Jabalpur, Rewa, and other 18 districts: Orange alert in Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur; schools closed in Satna and Maihar.

The eastern part of Madhya Pradesh – the districts of Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar, and Shahdol divisions – will experience a period of heavy rainfall for the next 48 hours. According to the IMD (India Meteorological Department), there is an alert for extremely heavy or heavy rainfall in 18 districts, including Jabalpur-Rewa, on Saturday. An orange alert has been issued in Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, and Satna. In view of the warning of torrential rains, classes from Nursery to class 8th will be suspended in Satna on Saturday, and classes from Nursery to class 1st will be suspended in Maihar.
