Former school education minister and his wife face ED action: Property worth 191 percent more than income, assets worth ₹1.64 crore attached.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has provisionally attached immovable properties worth ₹1.64 crore belonging to Mahendra Pratap Singh, a former clerk in the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department, and his wife Rita Singh. The action was taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The attached property includes land in Rewa and a school built on it. The ED had registered an FIR against Singh under the Prevention of Corruption Act for his tenure as the Executive Officer (EOW) in Rewa.
