In Bhopal, there is a dispute over 2.7 acres of Waqf land: An FIR has been filed against the president of Darul Shafqat Society; he is accused of passing a map claiming the land as his own.

The case has escalated in Bhopal's Shahjahanabad police station area after an FIR was registered against Shahid Aleem Khan, the president of Darul Shafqat Society, and other officials regarding the management of Waqf property and the income generated from it. The police have registered a case under sections 318(4) and 316(2) of the Indian Penal Code (BNS) based on a complaint by the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board. The chairman of the Waqf Board, Sanwar Patel, has alleged that the society misappropriated Waqf funds.
