On Tuesday morning, around 11 am, a young man climbed onto the statue of Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai, located near the bus stand, and brandished a sword to his chest. Upon receiving the information, the Kotwali police arrived and tried to reason with the man for about 20 minutes before finally getting him down. The police then took him to the district hospital for a medical examination and treatment. The young man has been identified as Nandlal, a resident of Majhiyakhara in the Gadasarai police station area, and his father's name is Jhanaklal.
