Gandhi Nagar syrup scam: A person was selling cough syrup worth ₹200 at double the price; the accused was arrested from Dehradun.

In the state, the STF arrested Abhishek Nigam, who was awarded a reward of ₹20,000, from Dehradun on October 7th, in connection with the illegal supply of codeine-containing cough syrup. Abhishek, who had fled from Rewa, is reportedly among the masterminds of the illegal business in the Mahakoshal region. The gang was selling cough syrup for up to ₹200 at double the price. After being brought to Bhopal on a transit warrant, the accused was taken into police remand until Monday, October 13th. SP ST
