Doctor separated from service in 2023, treated on call: Mother and child die in Rewa; Father's condition worsens while fasting; says he cannot afford even 10 crores.

The same doctor who was removed from service by the government three years ago is now involved in treating patients at Gandhi Memorial Hospital Rewa (GMH) in 2026. Now, in the same hospital, two doctors, including Dr. Sonal Agarwal, and two nursing staff have been suspended in connection with the death of a 25-year-old midwife, Kalpana Mishra, and her newborn. In the very house where Kalpana was celebrating the arrival of her child, both the mother and the newborn are now dead.
