Phoolchand Patel, the education officer of Baidhan development block in Singrauli district, has been suspended for negligence in the free bicycle distribution scheme. This action has been taken in the case of not issuing a receipt to the supplier agency after the distribution of approximately 22,000 bicycles in Baidhan block. The suspension order was officially issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal, on October 7, 2026. The government has termed this as negligence in government work.
