A meeting of the Forest Standing Committee was proposed for Wednesday at 3 PM in Bhopal district panchayat, but forest department officials did not arrive at the meeting until 6 PM. This led to committee members becoming agitated. Committee member Vinay Mehar raised objections and stated that it is wrong to cancel a meeting without informing public representatives. Member Mehar remained seated in the GIPs meeting hall until evening. He alleged that the Forest Standing Committee meeting only takes place once a year.
