In Bhopal, the promotion process of more than 32,000 teachers in the School Education Department is pending, while the Tribal Affairs Department has promoted 264 high-grade teachers and headmasters to the post of lecturer. This discrepancy has caused resentment among the teachers in the School Education Department. The Government Teachers' Organization Madhya Pradesh has questioned why promotion orders are not being issued in the department despite the Chief Minister's directives.
