Heavy rainfall in Satna-Chitrakoot, alert issued for 36 villages: Mandakini above the danger mark, 300 shops in Ramghat submerged in water; Majhgawan-Pahadikheda road also closed.

The risk of flooding has increased in the Satna district following continuous rainfall. In Chitrakoot, the Mandakini River is flowing about two meters above the danger mark, while the Simarawal River and several other streams are overflowing. The Majhgawan-Pahadikheda link road has been blocked, and roads and houses in the Paldev gram panchayat are inundated with water. In Satna, 36 villages along the banks of the Simarawal River have been put on alert. In Chitrakoot's Ramghat, about 300 shops were submerged in water.
