Over 200 Ayurveda students have been staging a sit-in protest at the Government Ayurveda College and Hospital in Ujjain since Monday, demanding an increase in their stipend. On the fifth day of the protest, the students raised their demand by donating blood. 37 students donated blood to press for a stipend of ₹21,500. The protesting students stated that in Madhya Pradesh, a BAMS intern is paid a mere ₹9,383.
