On the late Monday night, a herd of cows sitting on the roadside was hit by a speeding truck at the Puranpur bypass in Vidisha. The accident resulted in the death of four cows on the spot. The collision was so intense that two cows got trapped under the wheels of the truck. After the accident, a crowd of people gathered at the scene. Upon receiving the information, the Civil Line police arrived and took control of the situation. The police seized the truck and arrested the driver. Subsequently, they removed the dead bodies of the cows lying on the road.
