On Monday evening, a demonstration by medical students resulted in traffic congestion for approximately four hours on major roads connecting the new and old Bhopal areas. The students left Gandhi Medical College and sat on the main road to protest their demands. When police arrived to clear them, they retreated into nearby alleys fearing a lathi charge. Later, they reached Kamala Park and resumed their sit-in protest on the road. As the path to Kamala Park was blocked, police diverted vehicles to Sandeghat, Talaiya, and Lily.
