Preparations are in full swing in the city of Raisen for the Ganesh Utsav, which begins on September 14th. Preparations are underway to welcome Lord Ganesha in streets, neighborhoods, homes, and at the pandals (temporary structures) for the Ganesh festival. In the city, sculptors are working day and night to give final shape to the Ganesh idols at more than 6 locations. This time, the pandals will feature idols ranging from 5 to 18 feet tall. Additionally, this year's processions will include religious stories and deities along with Lord Ganesha.
