Order issued to T&CP of MP: Protect wetlands as decided in the master plan, no construction up to 50 meters.

The National Green Tribunal has ordered the Town and Country Planning of Madhya Pradesh to strictly adhere to the provisions of the Wetland Rules (Conservation and Management) - 2017 in creating a master plan for any city. Construction activities within a radius of 50 meters from the full tank level of any wetland should be restricted. A bench comprising Justice Shayokumar Singh and expert Sudhir Kumar Chaturvedi heard the petition related to the degradation of Gauri Sarovar in Bhind.
