Students and villagers protesting for road access blocked the state highway. The Sarpanch (village head) stated that the file has reached Bhopal, but no assurances have been received yet.

On Wednesday morning, villagers and students blocked the road in Sarangpur, a village adjacent to Mehdawani Janpad. This roadblock, demanding road construction, caused traffic congestion on the Mehdawani-Shahpura state highway in Kaneri Rayat. Upon receiving information, police and revenue department officials arrived at the scene and tried to reason with the villagers. The Shahpura SDM also advised the villagers. The villagers stated that they needed access from the main road to reach their village.
