The ENT department at AIIMS Bhopal has achieved a significant milestone in the medical field. A successful cochlear implant was performed on both ears of a 9-month-old baby simultaneously. According to the team that performed the procedure, this is the youngest child in central India to receive a cochlear implant. The baby was born prematurely and spent over a month in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) after birth.
