In Bhopal, a 62-year-old elderly woman who had come to the city from Narsinghgarh for treatment was defrauded by two miscreants who pretended to be carrying a bundle of currency notes. The accused threatened the woman that there were criminals roaming around and could snatch her gold jewelry. They then showed her a bundle of 500 rupee notes wrapped in cloth, and in exchange, they took off her mangalsutra and earrings. The woman later discovered that the bundle contained only paper, not actual currency. The incident was reported at the Kotwali police station.
