The security in the jail was dependent on half the guards; now the recruitment process is fast, and the district will get a new force.

Bhaskar Correspondent | In the district jail located in the Raisen plateau, on September 2 of this year, Neelesh Thakur, an undertrial prisoner lodged in a murder case, attempted to break out of prison. He fired at Digvijay Singh Tomar, the jail guard, with a country-made pistol. Following this incident, security arrangements are being strengthened in the district jail. In this regard, efforts have begun to recruit guards soon. Currently, there are 29 sanctioned posts for guards in the district jail.
