Murder accused prisoner shoots jail guard: The accused came to get fruit at the gate of Raisen District Jail and was trying to escape.

On Wednesday (September 2), at approximately 9 am, an undertrial prisoner in the Raisen district jail shot and injured a prison guard during a murder case. The bullet hit below the waist and penetrated the body. The condition of the guard, Digvijay Singh Tomar, is reported to be critical. Following the incident, jail staff rushed the injured guard to the district hospital. After examination, doctors referred him to Bhopal due to his serious condition. He was trying to escape by opening the gate.
