Factionalism was evident at the welcome ceremony for the new BJP district president in Datia, with supporters of Narottam Mishra and Ashutosh Tiwari appearing separately.

In Datia, during the welcome program of BJP's new district president Madhavendra Singh Parihar, supporters of different party leaders were seen in separate groups. Upon Madhavendra Singh Parihar's arrival in Datia, hoardings and banners were put up across the city. From the railway station to Rajgarh Chauraha, there was a presence of leaders associated with Narottam Mishra and Ashutosh Tiwari. The new district president reached Datia by road from Bhopal via Jhansi.
