BMHRC's housekeeping agency fined ₹50,000: Action taken for mixing medical waste; previously fined ₹10,000.

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has fined the housekeeping agency of Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) ₹50,000. During a surprise inspection on Monday, a large amount of biomedical waste was found in the garbage. Following this, Ram Ratan Lohia, Assistant Health Officer of Zone-17, and the Municipal Corporation team took action. The agency has already been fined ₹10,000 previously. A large quantity of medical waste found in the garbage was disposed of by the Municipal Corporation.
