In Bhopal, a effigy of the CEC was burned outside the Election House. Patwari-Singhar-Digvijay staged a sit-in protest. The PCC chief said that workers would be out across the state on Wednesday.
Following the detention of opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, who were protesting in Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, the Congress party also took to the streets in Madhya Pradesh. On Tuesday night, around 10 pm, senior Congress leaders, including PCC Chief Jitu Patwari, Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar, and former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, arrived at the Chief Electoral Officer's office in Bhopal.
