Bhandewarh's female elephant died from electrocution in Mauganj: Activist questions safety and DFO; PM report of the cheetahs is also pending.

A female elephant died after being electrocuted while roaming in the Sidhi-Mauganj area, which is adjacent to the Bandhavgarh National Park. Wildlife activist Ajay Dubey has termed this as a negligence on the part of the forest department and demanded a high-level inquiry and action against the DFO. Meanwhile, another case has come to light where the postmortem report for the deaths of cheetahs and leopards in Kuno National Park is not available at the forest headquarters.
