From today, demarcation of encroachment begins: NGT had imposed a ban... yet gates are opened in Bhadbhada without permission.

A new controversy has erupted as soon as the gate of Bhadbhada was opened. The National Green Tribunal (NGT) had asked to maintain the water level at 1666.80 feet and not to open the gate in order to ascertain the actual status of encroachment on the large pond's Full Tank Level (FTL). Despite this, the Municipal Corporation opened Gate No. 6 at 6:15 pm on Friday. The Nodal Agency, Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board (PCB), was informed about this 15 minutes later, at 6:30 pm. The PCB requested the corporation to provide approval and follow the procedure.
