TERI-IGSD report: After 4 years, daytime temperatures in Madhya Pradesh may increase by 2 degrees and nighttime temperatures by 2.4 degrees.

For the first time, it has been reported how the state is being scorched by pollution, with eastern Madhya Pradesh heating up rapidly. In Dindori, Bhind, and Sidhi, among the most sensitive areas of Madhya Pradesh, the average maximum (daytime) temperature could rise by 1.8 to 2 degrees Celsius and the minimum (nighttime) temperature by 2 to 2.4 degrees Celsius by the 2030s. A joint report by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and the Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (IGSD), 'Non-CO2 Emissions', estimates that Madhya Pradesh is likely to experience a significant increase in its average temperature, with the state expected to be among the most affected regions due to rising CO2 emissions.
