IPS officer impersonates and swindles ₹7 lakh in the name of job: Promises to get more than 6 people jobs in the Income Tax Department.

The MP Nagar police have arrested a fraudster who cheated people out of lakhs of rupees by posing as an IPS officer and promising them jobs in the Income Tax Department. The accused used to trap young individuals preparing for competitive exams and those seeking employment, claiming to be officers in the Income Tax Department's intelligence team on deputation. Initial police investigation revealed that the fraudster was involved in deceiving around half a dozen people.
