In Madhya Pradesh, Alpesh Kogje became the 30th Chief Justice: The President has approved it, and the Central Government has issued a notification; he may take oath next week.
Following the President's approval in Bhopal, the central government issued a notification on Saturday night appointing Justice Alpesh Yashwant Kogje of the Gujarat High Court as the 30th Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. He is likely to take the oath of office before the Governor at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal next week. Simultaneously, notifications have been issued for the appointment of new Chief Justices in eight High Courts across the country. The appointment was made on the recommendation of the Collegium.
