Sunday MP Monsoon Update: Madhya Pradesh receives 95.4% of its quota for the monsoon, which is less than the 'normal rainfall'; so far, 25 districts have already met their quota.

In the last days of September, the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh experienced a heavy spell of rainfall. This has resulted in an average monsoon rainfall of 35.6 inches so far, which is 95.4 percent of the quota. However, this falls short of the 'normal' category, where the rainfall should be between 96 to 104%. The IMD (India Meteorological Department) considers rainfall ranging from 96 to 104% as 'normal'. Except for Bhopal and Gwalior, which are among the 25 districts affected by this, the quota has not been met in the rest of Madhya Pradesh. The Indore division received the highest rainfall.
