Today is the confluence of Hartalika Teej and Ganesh Chaturthi: women are observing a fast without water, staying awake all night; Bappa will be installed in the afternoon.

Today in Bhopal, India's Bhopal region will witness the convergence of three religious observances. Women have begun their fast from morning due to the coincidence of Hartalika Teej and Ganesh Chaturthi falling on the same day. The installation of Ganesh idols will take place at an auspicious time in the afternoon, followed by the worship of Shiva-Parvati during dusk in the evening, and finally, women will observe a night vigil and offer prayers for Teej. Due to the difference in dates, both festivals have coincided this year. Preparations are complete in the city for Ganesh Utsav.
