The NGT has taken a strict stance on Bhopal's Shahpura Lake, stating that people should stop blaming each other and decide on FTL (Final Treatment Level) and buffer zones within 10 days.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has taken a strict stance in a case related to the conservation, demarcation, and removal of encroachments of Bhopal's Shahpura Lake. During the hearing, a bench comprising Justice Shyam Kumar Singh and expert member Sudhir Kumar Chaturvedi expressed strong disapproval of the tendency of various government departments to evade responsibility and waste court time. The hearing was held on a petition filed by environmentalist Nitin Saxena.
