Following NGT's order, a cleaning campaign was launched in Devi Talab. The Municipal Corporation President stated that cameras would be installed and action would be taken against those who throw garbage; drains will also be constructed to remove dirty water.

The municipality conducted a cleaning campaign at Devi Talab in Balaghat on Wednesday. With the help of a porter and a JCB, puja items tied in polythene and other waste were removed from the pond. The municipality described the campaign as being in compliance with the NGT's directives and linked it to the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. During the cleaning drive, municipal sanitation workers used machines to clean the pond and its surrounding areas of the waste and puja items that had been removed.
