The construction of the Ujjain-Garoth Greenfield Highway, worth ₹2600 crore, is not yet complete, and questions have been raised about its engineering. The approach road to the highway's railway overbridge (ROB) keeps sinking repeatedly. A large portion of the same approach road has been damaged again in the area where it collapsed seven months ago. Now, preparations are underway to excavate and rebuild approximately 500 meters of the road from scratch. The estimated cost is reported to be around ₹10 crore.
