Local villagers and city residents are expressing their displeasure over the location of the vehicle underpass (VUP) being built on the Shahganj bypass, approximately 125 kilometers from the city. The villagers have staged protests and chanted slogans, accusing NHAI and the contractor of constructing the underpass at the wrong site. They claim that locations with the highest number of accidents and frequent movement of common people and farmers are being overlooked.
