The government is set to crack down on the millions of vehicles plying on roads in Madhya Pradesh without valid third-party insurance. The state will now implement a strict "no insurance, no fuel" formula. This new system was approved at a meeting held in the ministry on Monday under the chairmanship of Justice (Retd.) Abhay Manohar Sapre, Chairman of the Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety. The total number of registered vehicles in the state is approximately 17.5 million.
