Shahpura toll plaza closed with immediate effect: Orders issued by Union Minister Gadkari after bridge was damaged; PWD Minister Rakesh Singh had written a letter.

The Shahpura toll plaza on the Jabalpur-Bhopal route will be closed with immediate effect. Traffic has been diverted due to damage to the Shahpura railway bridge. Despite this, toll collection had been ongoing for 24 days. Following a letter from Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has directed that toll collection be stopped. A portion of the overbridge, built at a cost of approximately ₹400 crore, collapsed due to damage to a part of the bridge.
