In the capital city of Bhopal, traders will observe 'No-UPI Day' today, Thursday. Wholesale rice and pulse traders will hold this symbolic protest, refusing to accept online payments exceeding ₹2,000. The traders are protesting against UPI charges. The primary reason for the traders' opposition is the proposed UPI charge, which came into effect on October 15th. Under this charge, a proposed MDR of 0.4% will be levied on UPI payments made to merchants from individuals for amounts exceeding ₹2,000.
