Ozone Day: Srinagar Garhwal experienced 26 days of poor air quality, raising concerns about the Himalayan region's air quality amidst perceptions that it is clean and healthy. A year-long study by the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University's Himalayan Atmospheric and Space Physics Research Laboratory has revealed significant levels of PM-2.5 and PM-10 (very small and solid particles and liquid droplets present in the air) as major pollutants.
