Jamia: Students protest against insect-filled mess food, administration calls it a conspiracy. Following the discovery of insects in the mess food at Jamia Millia Islamia's Jammu and Kashmir Girls Hostel, students protested vociferously. Despite assurances, when their demands were not met, the students continued their sit-in protest on Friday night as well. They demanded improvements in the quality of food, including replacing the mess vendor, among other things.
