In Gurugram, India, a 30-year-old resident of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh died during treatment at Medanta Hospital. Following this, the hospital administration refused to hand over the deceased's body to his family until the outstanding bill was paid, leading to an uproar. According to the family, the hospital charged them a hefty sum of ₹23 lakh in the name of their son's treatment, but his life could not be saved. Now, they are being told that only ₹18 lakh is due and unpaid.
