The Haryana State Information Commission has taken a strict stance in a case of not providing information as per the Right to Information Act in a timely and accurate manner. The commission has severely reprimanded Satish Kumar, the then State Public Information Officer-cum-Tehsildar, by imposing a fine of ₹25,000. The matter also gained attention because the department's representative used ChatGPGT and Google Search to prove the availability of information during the hearing.
