The Crime Branch team has reached Karnal in connection with the Harsh encounter case. The SIT has started investigating by reaching the encounter site and is conducting an investigation from every angle.

The investigation into the encounters of Harsh and Birbal, who were killed in a police encounter after the Beroo Valmiki murder case in Karnal, has now been handed over to the State Crime Branch Haryana. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed under the chairmanship of ADGP Law & Order IPS Sanjay Kumar. The team conducted an on-site inspection on Thursday at the location where, according to police, the encounter with Harsh and Birbal took place. The SIT will now investigate the crime scene, the police action, and all related facts.
