Following the international embarrassment caused by waterlogging in Gurugram during the monsoon season, the Metropolitan Development Authority has decided to install 3087 new CCTV cameras across the city to ensure real-time monitoring and reduce response time. These cameras will be installed at hotspots, drainage points, and areas prone to waterlogging for real-time monitoring. As soon as water accumulates anywhere, the control room will receive an alert, and action teams will reach the spot within minutes.
